Actress Koena Mitra’s father has passed away, leaving the actress heartbroken. Her father, Bishwanath Mitra was 73. He breathed his last in Kolkata where Koena had been staying for over a year. The ‘Musafir’ actress had shared a note remembering his father. It read, ‘We’ll meet again, Another life, Another story #Dad #Love’ A sourced close to the actress revealed, ‘Koena was shuttling between Kolkata and Mumbai a lot since the last 12-13 months. Her father suffered a lot of pain and agony; his condition was not improving despite the best efforts of the doctors who were treating him. He was in and out of the hospital several times, especially since October 2020.’ When contacted, the actress who had been very close to her father said, ‘He had chronic diabetes which had caused him serious glaucoma and eventually his kidneys got affected. He underwent dialysis many times and it was extremely painful.’ As for Koena’s mother, she will be staying on in Kolkata for now. The actress shared, ‘She won’t travel for a year and hence I will still be going to Kolkata frequently for the next 10-11 months at least.’
